Job Description
HelloFresh is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join the finance department. In this on-site role, the professional will collaborate across multiple internal groups to assess and enhance internal controls as well as financial reporting processes. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Accounting & Taxation, the chosen candidate collaborates with operations to prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial result reports. Key duties involve managing financial statement segments, assembling supporting schedules for P&L and balance sheet accuracy, and creating reliable accounting procedures for inventory, leases, and accruals. This position suits an analytical professional with a background in full-cycle or public accounting who is eager to support team growth, evaluate new project treatments, and assist with audit requirements. Responsibilities
- Manage specific areas of financial statements by gathering and verifying data while creating supporting schedules for balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Establish and maintain accounting procedures for leases, accruals, and inventory
- Collaborate with procurement, data, and operations to refine internal controls and financial reporting workflows
- Work alongside FP&A to bridge accounting actuals with budgets and forecasts
- Design and execute processes that support the expansion of the Factor brand
- Participate in interim and year-end internal and external audit preparation
- Mentor junior and intermediate accounting staff members
- Evaluate accounting treatments for novel projects and present findings to management
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 4 years of experience in public accounting or full-cycle accounting
- Hold a bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
- Obtain a CPA designation
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of IFRS requirements and technical accounting
- Show advanced proficiency in Excel alongside familiarity with Claude and Gemini Pro
- Commit to working on-site for a minimum of 3 days per week under a flexible hybrid policy
