This full-time remote Senior Accountant post supports close activity at Dandy, a company building software for dental practices. Dandy says dentistry is a market worth more than $400 billion and that venture investors back its mission. The accountant reports to the Assistant Controller and covers two US manufacturing labs, several overseas entities and a growing number of transactions.
Dandy's labs, supply flows, equipment, shipments and staff span several countries, and each of them ends up in the general ledger. The role owns prepaid, accrued and operating expense schedules, posts journal entries for close periods with estimates and allocations documented, and handles intercompany entries and consolidation between US and foreign entities. It also covers balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, quarterly transfer pricing journals alongside Tax, and audit support.
A central task is tracing miscoded transactions back to the payroll, purchasing and billing platforms where they originate, then working with those system owners to correct the source. The accountant also writes down processes and controls and looks for ways to cut hand-keyed work from the close in NetSuite.

Responsibilities
- Own prepaid, accrued and operating expense schedules covering consultant fees, software and contractor costs
- Post close-period journal entries, documenting estimates, allocations and accruals clearly

- Handle quarterly transfer pricing journals together with the Tax team
- Close out balance sheet reconciliations and clear variances before the period ends
- Produce flux analysis and brief FP&A and the Assistant Controller on monthly movements
- Trace miscoded transactions to payroll, purchasing and billing systems and partner with owners on upstream corrections
- Document accounting policies, procedures and controls, and build audit support schedules and auditor responses
- Reduce manual close work by building automations in NetSuite and connected systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's-level qualification in accounting or finance, or a similar discipline
- Senior Accountant experience of three or more years, or five-plus years of accounting roles of increasing scope
- Background in an operational company such as a manufacturer, distributor, healthcare services provider, logistics firm or multi-site business
- Working command of US GAAP, accrual accounting, reconciliations and internal controls
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and comfort with large datasets
- Proven history of resolving problems at their origin in earlier process steps
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with accountants and non-accountants alike
- Organized and detail-minded, reliably meets tight deadlines, and asks questions when unsure
Qualifications
- Background in inventory, cost or factory accounting
- Experience across several legal entities and currencies
- Hands-on NetSuite use
- Work in public accounting or audit
- Holds a CPA credential or is pursuing one
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Looker
