Posit is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting department and support financial accuracy, reporting, and audit readiness. In this role, the professional will manage financial statements, lead accounting projects, maintain internal controls, and automate data workflows while partnering with teams such as FP&A, Tax, Payroll, and Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements, variance analysis, and reconciliation schedules for assigned areas
- Research technical accounting positions for complex transactions and document them
- Lead accounting initiatives and system updates from initial planning through completion
- Identify, design, and deploy process improvements and automated solutions to streamline reporting
- Manage internal controls for assigned areas, resolving identified deficiencies
- Collaborate with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, AP/AR, and IT to maintain schedule compliance and data flows
- Support internal and external audits, including testing related controls
- Mentor junior team members, review their tasks, and present reports to stakeholders
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience independently running month-end closes and preparing financial statements across multiple areas
- Hands-on background utilizing NetSuite or a comparable ERP system for journal entries and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel proficiency utilizing complex formulas, pivot tables, and array formulas
- Daily practical use of artificial intelligence tools for documentation, automation, or analysis
- Working knowledge of US GAAP standards and the ability to explain accounting rationale
- Understanding of system, process, and people controls with a history of leading process enhancements
Qualifications
- Ability to extend NetSuite and AI tools through scripts, workflows, or saved searches
- Experience working with revenue, billing, or subledger systems and adjacent accounting technologies
- Familiarity with company entity structures, accounting policies, and close calendars
- Large-project planning experience including estimation and timeline management
