InMobi is looking for a Senior Analyst - Finance Business Insights to join its team in Bengaluru on a full-time basis. The Finance Business Insights team operates within FP&A, aiming to shift the organization toward data-informed strategic decisions by adding an intelligence layer over enterprise data. This role suits a professional who can own financial data end-to-end, build scalable data pipelines, apply statistical methods to evaluate business performance, and automate reporting processes.
The position requires taking full ownership of technical design, building data products, developing intelligent workflows using AI agents, and collaborating effectively across finance, product, and technology stakeholders without needing step-by-step direction.
Responsibilities
- Manage finance data end-to-end and serve as the subject matter expert for financial data sources, business logic, and definitions across accounting, FP&A, business units, and revenue.
- Develop Python and PySpark data pipelines to reconcile, ingest, and transform operational, ERP, billing, and ad platform data into a governed analytics layer.
- Model data for various financial use cases including forecasting inputs, unit economics, variance analysis, close reporting, and P&L with clear lineage.
- Apply statistical methodologies such as hypothesis testing, anomaly detection, time-series forecasting, and regression to interpret and explain performance trends.
- Automate manual reporting tasks by building Rill and Power BI interactive dashboards and metrics layers that suggest recommended actions.
- Design and deploy automations, insight generation, and reporting workflows using LLM APIs and AI agents for tasks like anomaly explanations and reconciliation checks.
- Scope requirements directly with stakeholders and manage the entire technical lifecycle from design and testing to deployment and documentation.
Requirements
- Two to five years of professional experience in finance systems, analytics, or data engineering.
- At least two years of Python programming experience focused on building tested, modular code for automation and data pipelines.
- Minimum of two years of practical Spark or PySpark experience building production jobs on Databricks or equivalent platforms.
- Strong SQL abilities applied to modeling data for financial and analytical use cases.
- At least one year of hands-on familiarity with Rill or similar BI-as-code tools like Cube or Looker LookML, or the capability to quickly ramp up.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling and DAX or equivalent.
- Applied statistical background covering anomaly detection, time-series forecasting, regression, and hypothesis testing.
- Hands-on background with ETL or ELT lakehouse architecture and tooling such as Airflow, dbt, or Databricks.
- Practical experience developing with LLM APIs, including structured outputs, tool use, prompt design, and evaluation.
- Solid foundation in accounting principles, financial statements, and FP&A concepts with the ability to verify financial models.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to multi-step AI workflow orchestration or agent frameworks like LangGraph or MCP.
- Databricks cloud data certifications such as Data Engineer Associate or Professional.
- Familiarity with high-volume transactional businesses, digital media, or ad tech.
