Job Description
Foodics is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with a main focus on .NET and C#, who will also support the company's existing PHP Laravel services and applications. The engineer builds, maintains, tests and troubleshoots scalable back-end services and web applications that power Foodics products, aiming for systems that are stable and fast.
Work covers setting architecture direction for several services and web apps, designing secure and high-throughput systems, and building APIs and microservices. The engineer pulls together data from in-house services, outside systems and data stores, raises reliability, scalability and observability, and looks for ways to shrink technical debt and tidy the codebase. The role works alongside product managers, designers and engineers from other teams, reviews code, mentors junior colleagues and evaluates new technologies.
Applicants need at least three years building large back-end systems, strong .NET and C# skills and solid hands-on Laravel work. Expectations include REST API design, distributed-systems understanding, relational database modelling, caching and queuing with tools such as Redis, background processing, unit and integration testing and SOLID principles. Spoken English and the ability to handle time zone gaps in a remote-friendly environment are needed. Foodtech or SaaS exposure is a plus. The listing is on-site.
