Zoi is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect (m/f/d) to join its team on a remote basis. Zoi specializes in transforming manufacturing and retail businesses through artificial intelligence strategies, handling both implementation and scaling to create competitive advantages for clients. The company operates across multiple European hubs including Stuttgart, Berlin, Cologne, Lisbon, Barcelona, Figueres, Sevilla, and Las Palmas.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop, scale, and maintain fault-tolerant and disaster-recoverable multi-cloud and AWS infrastructure solutions. The professional will evaluate legacy systems and security constraints, drive FinOps and cost optimization, implement security best practices like IAM and Zero-Trust networks, and automate provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools. Additionally, the role involves acting as a technical leader for C-level stakeholders and mentoring cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Design, scale, and maintain multi-cloud and AWS infrastructure solutions that offer high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
- Assess client constraints such as legacy systems and security policies to propose modernization pathways
- Drive cost optimization and FinOps through architecture analysis, tagging models, continuous monitoring, and resource sizing standardizations
- Execute cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, Zero-Trust network design, landing zones, account hierarchies, and compliance guardrails
- Automate cloud provisioning and configuration management via Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Connect cloud deployment pipelines with CI/CD toolchains like GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
- Advise senior engineering leaders and C-level stakeholders while mentoring cross-functional implementation teams
Requirements
- Proven background as a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect with experience in technical leadership and advisory functions
- Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud architecture
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
- Knowledge of cloud security and governance practices such as IAM, Zero-Trust architecture, Landing Zone setups, and compliance guardrails
- Proficiency in both English and German
Qualifications
- Experience with multi-cloud environments such as GCP and Azure
