Deloitte in Accra is hiring a Senior Consultant for Legal, specialising in employment law advisory, within its regulatory team. The role advises businesses and individuals on employment and commercial law, corporate transactions, and company secretarial matters, and supports legal due diligence. It is a full-time position for a lawyer admitted to the Ghana Bar with at least five years of consulting or advisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex commercial and employment law issues and on compliance with applicable laws
- Advise on commercial agreements, corporate restructuring, debt and equity financing and M&A
- Provide company secretarial support and legal due diligence on potential clients and partners
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development for corporate legal services
Requirements
- Degree from a recognized university in Ghana or overseas with at least second class upper in law, business, management, economics, accounting or a related discipline
- Admission to the Ghana Bar, through the Qualifying Certificate in Law or its equivalent
- At least five years of relevant experience in a similar consulting or advisory role
- Experience in employment law advisory, legal M&A services and company law
Qualifications
- An LLM or other master's degree
- Strong research, analytical, writing and presentation skills
