Fieldguide seeks a Senior Customer Success Engineer, Audit to join its remote team as a full-time employee. The company builds automation and streamlining software for assurance and audit practitioners specializing in financial, privacy, and cybersecurity audits. Backed by investors such as Goldman Sachs Alternatives and Y Combinator, Fieldguide operates as a remote-first organization based in San Francisco.
This is a hands-on, product-native position rather than a traditional relationship management job. The role suits former audit practitioners and audit transformation experts who can work directly inside the platform alongside customer audit teams. Responsibilities include owning customer adoption, workflow excellence, and value realization to help firms execute audits with greater efficiency and quality.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Revenue teams, feeding real-world insights back into product development while guiding users toward best practices. Compensation ranges from USD 170,000 to 190,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Manage adoption and long-term retention for a portfolio of audit customers
- Configure workflows, engagement structures, and templates directly within the platform
- Translate audit standards and methodologies into repeatable platform workflows
- Lead customer training, enablement, and change management initiatives
- Identify usage gaps, inefficiencies, and risk signals to recommend platform improvements
- Collaborate across departments to provide user feedback and influence product roadmaps
- Support renewals and expansion by ensuring clients realize provable platform value
- Develop scalable success resources including playbooks and best-practice frameworks
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in public accounting, audit, assurance, advisory, audit methodology, or audit transformation
- Comprehensive understanding of the audit lifecycle covering planning, evidence collection, review, and management
- Background supporting complex multi-team audit environments and methodology rollouts
- Experience working hands-on in software platforms to configure workflows and solve usage challenges
- Ability to lead training, enablement, and change management with audit teams
Qualifications
- Familiarity with data models, permissions, and configurations
- Exposure to AI-powered workflows including LLMs or prompt creation
