ReSource Pro is hiring a remote Senior Data Engineer to operate within its Technology Services Data Services Practice. This full-time position requires the selected candidate to reside within the United States. The role centers on designing and implementing modern analytics infrastructure, scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting dashboards to support insurance clients.
Focused exclusively on the insurance industry, ReSource Pro assists carriers, brokers, wholesalers, and managing general agents with workflow optimization and technology services. In this position, the engineer will evolve lakehouse environments, establish ingestion frameworks, and ensure high standards of data reliability and performance.
Candidates should possess substantial experience in data platform development and P&C insurance concepts. The position involves up to 30% domestic travel and participation in a standardized interview workflow, beginning with a recruiter screen and proceeding through assessments and leadership discussions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data migration, integration, and pipeline workflows for operational and analytical use cases.
- Develop and maintain curated datasets, reusable data assets, and semantic models to power analytics and reporting.
- Evolve modern data platforms including lakehouse environments and ingestion frameworks while setting performance best practices.
- Deliver dashboards, self-service analytics, and data products that provide actionable insights to business users.
- Collaborate with product, platform, and domain experts to apply insurance industry context to end-to-end data solutions.
- Foster open, solution-oriented communication across data engineering, analytics, and platform teams.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform development, including production operations.
- Deep Property and Casualty insurance experience across policy, claims, billing, or underwriting, including familiarity with carrier data models.
- Practical experience constructing scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows.
- Background working with cloud-native data platforms, with a preference for Azure and Microsoft Fabric or acceptable AWS experience.
- Demonstrated capability in developing curated datasets, semantic layers, and data models for reporting and analytics.
- Proven track record of maintaining data quality, performance, and reliability across datasets and pipelines.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 30 percent of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Data migration or conversion experience.
- Familiarity with medallion and lakehouse architectures.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, SAFe, CPCU, AINS, CDMP, or cloud provider certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
