The company operates with a fully distributed team across the APAC region, utilizing quantitative trading roots to prioritize execution quality, liquidity, and dependability for traders. WOO X features a live Proof of Reserves and Liabilities dashboard to maintain platform transparency.
In this hands-on, individual contributor capacity, the engineer will own the maintenance and enhancement of the WOO X data infrastructure. Responsibilities include constructing analytical models and pipelines that deliver dependable information for business intelligence, reporting, and daily operations. The professional will collaborate alongside engineering and commercial personnel to comprehend information sources, resolve quality defects, and streamline platform scalability. Mandarin serves as the primary working language for the team.

Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines utilizing Spark, Python, SQL, and Kafka
- Operate and develop Airflow workflows covering recovery, dependency handling, retries, and scheduling
- Create and maintain data warehouse datasets and structural models designed for business intelligence and reporting
- Enhance information freshness and reliability through monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting of upstream and downstream discrepancies
- Tune query and pipeline execution performance while overseeing processing and storage expenditures
- Collaborate with internal information consumers to establish metrics and datasets while documenting dependencies, transformations, and flows
Requirements
- Prior data engineering background in Web3 or crypto environments, including accountability for production infrastructure or pipelines
- Proficiency in Python and SQL to build sustainable processing workflows
- Practical background utilizing Spark, Kafka, and Airflow
- Familiarity with data modelling, ELT/ETL pipelines, and data warehouses
- Capacity to troubleshoot infrastructure failures, analyze discrepancies, and fix root causes
- Ability to operate independently while clearly communicating business needs and technical specifications in Mandarin
Qualifications
- Background at a centralized digital asset exchange, specifically involving account, order, or trading data
- Business intelligence experience that encompasses preparing information sets for users, defining metrics, or supporting dashboards
