The organization is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to be based in the New York City metro area to champion its global user base and open-source community.
This position involves engaging with developers and technology enthusiasts through public speaking engagements, written tutorials, code contributions, and digital channels. The ideal candidate will combine technical engineering expertise with strong interpersonal and communication skills to support users and channel community feedback back to internal engineering groups.
The role operates on a full-time basis with a base salary between USD 113,100 and 178,900 per year, alongside additional compensation components such as stock participation and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Deliver presentations at virtual and in-person conferences, meetups, and industry events
- Assist developers on Slack, Discuss forums, and other online channels
- Produce written and digital materials including blog posts, tutorials, code samples, videos, and social media updates
- Write and submit code contributions to internal and external repositories via GitHub
- Relay user feedback from the developer community to engineering teams to enhance product offerings
Requirements
- Possess a strong technical background and prior experience in software engineering or a related engineering role
- Demonstrate the ability to produce compelling technical content through speaking, writing, and demonstrations
- Display empathy for users to help resolve issues and improve product quality
- Communicate effectively in English through spoken and written mediums
