Blue Coding is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a remote position supporting a US corporate client that provides life insurance products. In this role, you will help transition legacy on-premises architecture into a modern, serverless cloud environment hosted on AWS. You will collaborate closely with internal development groups to streamline operations by establishing automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code practices, system monitoring, and platform engineering initiatives. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud environments on AWS
- Drive the migration of traditional on-premises infrastructure to a serverless architecture
- Develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket Pipelines
- Provision and version cloud resources across environments using Terraform
- Transition traditional DevOps workflows into platform engineering by building internal tools for developer teams
- Configure system monitoring to detect and resolve performance bottlenecks and maintain reliability
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams with timely and clear communication
- Enforce security best practices, perform vulnerability audits, and ensure compliance standards
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for processes, infrastructure, and tools
- Share technical knowledge and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in a DevOps capacity within software companies
- Demonstrated background handling AWS cloud migration initiatives
- Extensive practical knowledge of Bitbucket Pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of Atlassian software including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Full fluency in English with excellent communication skills
- Availability to stay responsive and connected throughout the workday
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and solve complex analytical problems independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with MLOps or DataOps concepts such as model deployment or data pipeline automation
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification
