Ubiminds is seeking a Senior DevSecOps or Cloud Security Engineer for a six-month contract role. The professional will join a security-focused squad to harden a multi-region AWS platform before a major product launch, collaborating closely with a fast-moving engineering team based in the United States. The client organization is a leader in video-based learning, offering technology that allows companies and educational institutions to manage, create, and scale video content.
This opportunity is suited for a practitioner with strong cloud security experience who can execute threat modeling, review infrastructure code, and implement security gates within pipelines. The position is fully remote, though the company headquarters in Florianópolis remains available for team members who choose to use it.
Responsibilities
- Perform threat modeling and security assessments across the AWS environment covering network security, IAM, infrastructure, and secrets management
- Remediate and review launch-critical findings within Infrastructure as Code
- Examine AI-assisted and AI-generated code to identify security risks
- Develop and implement the security roadmap including WAF, SAST/DAST, CI/CD security gates, IAM hardening, and secrets management
- Collaborate directly with the client engineers and the in-house DevSecOps hire to share security practices
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and delivery reports
Requirements
- Hands-on AWS security experience in multi-region environments
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Expertise in IAM design and hardening
- Familiarity with Claude and agentic development workflows alongside an understanding of their security risks
Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD security tooling such as SAST and DAST, and establishing security gates in pipelines
- Background in WAF configuration and management
- Knowledge of secrets management at scale
- Experience embedding security practices into rapid product teams
