Job Description
BBYO, an organization focused on engaging teenagers, is recruiting a Senior Director to guide AI strategy and enablement. The person sets the course for where AI deserves investment, designs practical oversight for adoption, and helps departments rethink their workflows. The position sits inside the Systems, Technology and Operational Effectiveness group and answers to the SVP of Operational Effectiveness.
The job is full-time and remote within the United States, with a preference for people near the Washington, DC area. Pay is posted at $115,000 to $125,000 a year. A strong candidate is fluent in AI, enjoys teaching, and grasps how real organizations function. The employer also values process mapping, leading change, comfort with data, and judgment about privacy and responsible handling of institutional information.
Core activities include running staff training, hands-on coaching, and peer learning, plus advising on data strategy and cleanup. The director works with IT on permissions, data protection, and security for AI tools, and may build prototypes personally. Some travel is expected for staff meetings, the annual convention, and visits to departments and regional teams. The director is also expected to help teams get more value from current records, programs, and day-to-day operations, and to ask bigger questions of that information.
