Responsibilities
- Lead the hematology-focused Scientific Affairs team as a day-to-day player-coach
- Manage team workloads, set project priorities, and ensure timely delivery of scientific deliverables
- Provide coaching, onboarding support, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities for team members
- Collaborate with the EVP of Scientific Affairs regarding resource needs, workload concerns, and staff development
- Partner with key faculty to create content, including multimedia assets and presentation slides
- Produce post-event reports and executive summaries with concise writing and accurate clinical data representation
- Review deliverables for consistency, scientific accuracy, and compliance with company standards
- Work alongside other business units to facilitate successful project execution
- Support the creation of innovative medical education programs aligned with learner and client needs
- Keep current on disease states, emerging clinical data, and management strategies
- Follow internal operational procedures during content creation and review
- Travel for business needs and demonstrate flexibility to work outside regular office hours
Requirements
- Background in hematology and oncology
- Minimum of three years of experience working in hematology or oncology
- Minimum of three years of medical education experience
- Experience creating scientific content
- Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
