Airbnb is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Partner Ecosystem to join its Communication and Connectivity team within the Guest & Host organization. This remote-eligible position focuses on the connectivity branch, which scales integration platforms to link third-party property management systems. The successful candidate will drive the third-party supply growth strategy, set technical and AI directions for the platform, and lead an engineering team.
This role suits a technical leader experienced in navigating cross-functional strategies across product, data science, and business development teams. Daily duties involve collaborating with third-party partners, ensuring integration reliability, mentoring engineers, and executing multi-year technical roadmaps. The position offers a base salary between USD 248,000 and 310,000 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits.
Responsibilities
- Steer the evolution of the supply integration platform to advance the third-party supply ecosystem
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to define the third-party supply growth strategy and technical roadmap
- Establish technical and artificial intelligence strategies to enhance platform capability, efficiency, quality, and scalability
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team across various projects
- Partner with data science, product, and business development teams to align strategies and execute milestones
- Engage directly with external business partners to select partnerships and maintain integration performance and reliability
- Coach engineers to support their career progression and technical skill development
Requirements
- Possess twelve or more years of overall engineering experience
- Bring at least five years of experience managing a team within a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment
- Demonstrate experience navigating internal partners across multiple teams to drive business strategy and alignment
- Show background in architecting, building, and leading enterprise-scale full-stack products and systems
- Display experience applying modern artificial intelligence technologies to development cycles and products
- Offer hands-on technical leadership in guiding project teams and setting technical direction cross-functionally
- Reside in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. maintains a registered entity
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD in Computer Science or a related academic field
- Bring experience designing and building external-facing application programming interfaces
- Demonstrate prior work with AI agent integration
