The organization seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to act as a strategic finance business partner for product and shared services lines including JSTOR Stewardship, Portico, and Ithaka S+R.
This individual contributor position suits a systems-oriented finance expert experienced in SaaS and hybrid revenue models who can operate independently on intricate, multi-product analyses. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the professional handles forecasting, long-range planning, and financial systems optimization. Responsibilities include building financial narratives, managing cost allocation models, maintaining non-payroll and payroll budgets, and serving as a power user of planning and business intelligence tools.
Candidates must reside in and be able to work from the continental United States, as ITHAKA employees are distributed across this area. The starting annual salary falls between $76,320 and $95,400, supplemented by a compensation package that includes health plans, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance partner for senior product and functional leaders
- Maintain the cost allocation model and analyze cost impacts across the four business units
- Identify structural margin drivers, financial risks, and resource trade-offs
- Lead regular and rolling forecasts for complex, multientity areas
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial review materials, variance analyses, and risk assessments for executive leadership
- Manage non-payroll cost budgets including software and cloud purchase order details
- Manage headcount and payroll budgets alongside open positions
- Operate as a power user of Workday Adaptive Planning, Databricks, and Tableau
- Partner with Accounting to maintain data flow integrity from Acumatica into Adaptive Planning
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in strategic finance or FP&A
- Advanced proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning covering model building, reporting, version control, and allocations
- Strong working knowledge of financial data structures and Acumatica ERP
- Proven advanced financial modeling and scenario planning abilities
- Capacity to distill complex financial information into executive-level narratives
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship
Qualifications
- Background working in SaaS or hybrid subscription and services business models
- Advanced capabilities in Google Suite, Microsoft 365, and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with automation, AI-assisted analysis, or advanced analytics tools
