This role centers on building and scaling an initial web application using a technology stack that includes React and Javascript on the front end alongside Rails on the backend. Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of features including technical design, coding, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance
- Exercise technical leadership and assume responsibility for designated sections of the platform
- Collaborate with Product Managers to convert product needs into technical specs
- Drive code reviews and maintain high quality standards within your domain
- Engage actively in product strategy discussions while demonstrating personal initiative
- Operate autonomously within a fast-paced setting
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineering staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional frontend engineering experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience utilizing the React ecosystem
- Ability to transform design mocks into superior HTML and CSS structures
- Strong comprehension of core web mechanics
- Familiarity with responsive web design, media queries, and cross-device browser compatibility
- Working knowledge of UI design patterns, web security, performance optimization, and usability
- Acquaintance with modern engineering workflows such as automated testing, code reviews, and continuous deployment
- Willingness to continuously learn new concepts
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a small team and growing a company
Qualifications
