Solace is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its lean, mission-driven team on a full-time, remote basis.
This role is designed for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and dislikes the constraints of large organizations. Candidates should be comfortable tackling ambiguous problems, writing code daily, and taking complete ownership of product workflows from initial design through deployment. The position offers a salary between USD 150,000 and 200,000 per year.
The engineering team utilizes a modern tech stack that includes TypeScript across all applications, NestJS with TypeORM, Postgres, Redis, React, a custom UI library built on shadcn, Tailwind, and GCP. The ideal person possesses a strong bias toward action, exceptional communication skills, and a dedication to crafting consumer-oriented experiences.
Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements to write high-quality, production-ready code that delivers a top-tier user experience
- Build and maintain user-facing features spanning everything from database models to user interface components
- Take full ownership and accountability for product workflows and development details from start to finish
- Collaborate with fellow engineers, product professionals, and designers to shape the product and drive user experience improvements
- Develop services and APIs to support both existing and new web application features
- Maintain system and codebase health through continuous refactoring and performance enhancements
- Draft clear specifications to guarantee product and code quality before deployment
- Manage and drive large releases to production on a continuous deployment schedule
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in both frontend and backend development
- Strong fundamentals in React along with background experience utilizing TypeScript and Node
- Previous experience working in a startup environment
- Must be based in the United States
- Ability to commit code daily and independently manage product workflows from design to deployment
