Job Description
Qualio is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join one of its platform teams for a remote position based in Ireland. Qualio operates a unified quality and compliance management platform designed to help regulated organizations in the biopharma, medtech, and diagnostics sectors bring products to market safely and efficiently. The engineering department focuses on building horizontal services to support vertical feature-centric product teams, aiming to deliver an easy, scalable, and trusted quality management system.
In this role, the engineer will collaborate with product managers, team leads, architects, and peer engineers to build robust cloud-based applications. Qualio values iterative development, test-driven development, clean code, automation, and end-to-end ownership under the principle of building and running solutions. The technology stack primarily utilizes Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, AngularJS, and REST APIs, hosted on AWS, though developers with expertise in other languages are welcome provided they are willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as a team player with product partners, engineers, and architecture teams to design, implement, and deliver cloud-based solutions
- Maintain a proactive and positive attitude within a fast-paced and changing environment
- Build effective software through coding and architecture reviews alongside team members
- Apply engineering best practices including test-driven development, clean code, and CI/CD principles
- Actively use artificial intelligence tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate coding, debugging, and prototyping tasks
Requirements
- Have 5 or more years of professional software development experience
- Utilize programming languages such as Python and Node.js, along with relational and non-relational databases
- Demonstrate familiarity with AWS cloud services including ECS, Lambda, EC2, ELB, API Gateway, security groups, and VPCs
- Work with OpenSearch
- Apply Agile methodologies and operate within a DevSecOps environment
Qualifications
- Experience in application platforms, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, data management, and infrastructure as code
- Willingness to learn new programming languages if coming from a different background
