Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Grafana Data Source Plugins squad on a fully remote basis. The company maintains an observability platform utilized by over 10,000 organizations, including major entities like Microsoft, Salesforce, and Bloomberg. In this role, the engineer will take a leading part in developing, enhancing, and operating a diverse catalog of data source plugins—such as Prometheus, Loki, Infinity, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloudwatch, and Clickhouse—that power dashboards for users globally.
This opportunity is well-suited for a self-driven, action-oriented developer who enjoys turning complex ideas into robust software solutions. The position requires collaboration across divisions to connect third-party databases, integrate data sources into agentic workflows like Grafana Assistant, and assist with customer escalations. Candidates must be comfortable working within a distributed, remote-first environment spanning more than 40 countries. Please note that residents of Quebec are ineligible for this position, and while applicants are welcome from Canada, the base compensation range for US applicants is listed between CAD $164,490 and $197,389 per year.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve Grafana plugins to connect third-party databases and services
- Maintain operational reliability and stability of plugins within Grafana Cloud
- Contribute suggestions for process enhancements
- Incorporate data sources into agentic workflows such as Grafana Assistant
- Deliver technical support during customer escalations
- Collaborate closely with members of the Grafana Division
Requirements
- Practical background working with Golang and Typescript
- Experience utilizing Kubernetes and microservices architecture
- Ability to write clean, performant, and reliable software maintainable by others
- Participation in on-call rotations and site reliability engineering tasks
Qualifications
- Prior usage of Grafana and Grafana Data Sources
- Expertise in one or more of the underlying supported databases
- Strong background collaborating with Product Managers or external stakeholders
