KMS Technology is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join its remote team. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable healthcare applications, backend services, and system integrations using an AI-driven technology stack that includes React, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and Medplum. The position suits a software professional with extensive fullstack experience who enjoys developing intuitive interfaces, optimizing clinical workflows, and integrating RESTful APIs while ensuring security and high performance.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and NestJS
- Build reusable frontend components, custom hooks, and modular application architectures while integrating internal and third-party RESTful APIs
- Implement authentication, authorization, and Role-Based Access Control to protect application functionality and sensitive data
- Create responsive and accessible user interfaces aligned with UI/UX designs and accessibility guidelines
- Write and run unit and integration tests to guarantee application quality and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot software issues, and implement maintainable fixes
- Handle sensitive healthcare data securely across codebases, logs, error handling, and integrations
- Take ownership of assigned features throughout the entire software development lifecycle
- Produce and update technical documentation for system components, APIs, and integrations
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to optimize coding efficiency, workflows, and code quality
- Engage in Agile ceremonies, track delivery progress, and escalate technical risks or blockers
Requirements
- More than 8 years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on fullstack expertise
- Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong practical background in building backend systems and RESTful APIs using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript
- Experience designing Single Page Applications, modular frontends, and reusable components
- Familiarity with asynchronous operations, error handling, and API integrations
- Practical background in integrating LLM APIs, tool calling, or agentic AI workflows
- Knowledge of Spec-Driven Development or AI-driven software development practices
- Experience implementing secure application practices, authentication, and authorization
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library
- Experience building responsive and accessible web applications compliant with WCAG guidelines
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and code review workflows
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating with international teams
- Experience operating in Agile and Scrum environments
Qualifications
- Experience developing software for the healthcare sector or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR
- Experience utilizing Medplum or similar platforms for electronic health records and clinical data management
- Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations such as HIPAA and Protected Health Information
- Backend development experience using Python or alternative server-side languages
- Experience using Figma to execute UI designs and coordinate with design teams
