Job Description
This Senior Integration Support Specialist role at Salla focuses on linking the company's ecommerce SaaS platform with partners and outside systems. The specialist works with cross-functional colleagues to design and refine integrations, helping clients extract more value from the software and run their businesses more efficiently. The listing describes the work as architecting integration solutions that are scalable, efficient and aligned with recognised practice.
Integrations connect the platform to outside systems including ERP software, CRM tools, payment processors and other third-party apps. The specialist designs and maintains dependable APIs for exchanging data and keeping systems interoperable, and works with internal teams to set API specifications that meet industry norms. Authentication and authorisation must be secure, protecting privacy and data integrity.
Day-to-day tasks include testing API integrations for correct behaviour, data accuracy and error handling, tailoring workflows to clients' requirements while preserving scalability, and resolving integration faults quickly. The specialist advises clients and internal teams on integration practice and troubleshooting, writes and keeps up documentation for APIs and fault guides, and manages API versioning and upgrades while preserving backward compatibility where needed.
The role also covers tuning API speed, scale and dependability using cache layers, traffic distribution and resilient error handling, tracking developments in ecommerce integration, and recommending tools that could strengthen integration capability. The listing expects four-plus years as an integration engineer, ideally within ecommerce or SaaS, plus a bachelor's-level degree or higher, strong API design skills, and experience with REST, SOAP, webhooks, OAuth 2.0 and JWT. Mentoring junior colleagues is expected. The role is on-site, and no salary is stated.
