Flexport is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join its team on a remote basis. Flexport operates in the global trade and commerce sector, providing technology-driven solutions utilized by businesses ranging from emerging brands to Fortune 500 companies. In this role, the engineer will manage, configure, and support SaaS collaboration tools and endpoint management platforms to ensure they remain secure, scalable, and optimized.
The successful candidate will take ownership of lifecycle management across core systems, design automation workflows, and participate in cross-functional projects. Responsibilities involve administering key enterprise platforms, deploying policies for Mac and Windows devices, and handling Tier 3 support escalations. This position requires broad information technology knowledge paired with a security-focused mindset to mitigate risks, maintain compliance, and safeguard sensitive data.
The base salary range spans from USD 130,000 to USD 172,000 per year, with specific pay dependent on work location and additional factors such as experience, skills, and relevant education. Total compensation includes base salary, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Administer and deliver escalation support for SaaS platforms
- Implement and maintain software deployment, patching, security compliance, and policies for Windows and Mac endpoints utilizing Jamf and Intune
- Manage the full lifecycle across core collaboration and endpoint management systems
- Build automation scripts and workflows via tools like Python, PowerShell, and Okta Workflows to enhance user experience and administrative efficiency
- Track system performance, usage, and health, while resolving or escalating problems proactively
- Coordinate with Security, Legal, HR, and Engineering teams to integrate SaaS applications properly
- Conduct system investigations and discovery processes for Human Resources and Legal
- Assist with product evaluations and vendor management
- Onboard new applications for single sign-on functionality
- Create and maintain technical operating procedures, engineering roadmaps, and policies
- Partner with the Security team to incorporate best practices into platform design and implementation
- Deliver Tier 3 IT support
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience supporting Mac and Windows endpoint management alongside SaaS collaboration tools
- In-depth familiarity with IAM concepts, IT security, and email delivery flow
- Understanding of permission models and role-based access control across core SaaS applications
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
