Sterlington is seeking a remote Senior Legal Practice Assistant to deliver high-touch support to firm partners and attorneys. The firm operates as a full-service legal practice concentrating on corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters for founders, senior executives, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. In this capacity, you will manage complex operations across multiple time zones while utilizing artificial intelligence and modern technology to optimize daily workflows.

This position extends far beyond basic scheduling. The ideal candidate will take ownership of document preparation, administrative coordination, billing tracking, and project management tasks. Operating within a global Legal Operations framework, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive client goals forward while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

The role suits a detail-oriented professional who possesses a practical approach to legal technology and a strong collaborative mindset. Candidates must be comfortable navigating intricate calendars, handling client-facing paperwork, and processing detailed billing and expense data.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and protect complex, multi-time-zone partner diaries
  • Handle executive inboxes by triaging messages, drafting initial replies, and following up on pending items
  • Prepare meeting packs, briefing notes, agendas, and post-meeting action tracking
  • Coordinate comprehensive end-to-end travel arrangements and reconcile post-trip expenses
  • Prepare, circulate, and track engagement letters through final signature
  • Draft correspondence for clients and prospects
  • Maintain accurate records and entries within the customer relationship management system
  • Format, version, compare, and prepare execution copies of legal documents
  • Flag billable items, expenses, and disbursements for the finance department
  • Process team tasks through the designated Legal Operations intake channel

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting partners, senior fee earners, or C-suite executives
  • Professional background within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with practice management systems such as Aderant
  • Experience using data analytics dashboards like PowerBI
  • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence tools such as Claude or CoPilot
  • Experience with project management platforms like Asana
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities
