Job Description

Nanit makes parenting technology that combines AI, sleep data and clinical expertise to help families understand a baby's early years. The company says it is trusted by more than one million families and has raised $125 million in funding. Canada is the first market for its international expansion, and this full-time, remote Senior Manager role is the company's first dedicated in-country leader there.

The leader owns the Canadian commercial picture across direct-to-consumer, Amazon.ca and retail, and drives revenue through new growth levers and local distributor partnerships. The role builds and manages retail relationships with key Canadian accounts, localizes marketing and brand presence for Canadian shoppers, and sets the demand forecast so supply chain keeps the right inventory in the right place.

The job is backed by central groups covering online marketing, brand and supply chain, as well as sales, finance and growth colleagues. The leader keeps Canadian strategy aligned with global strategy and applies lessons from the US market. The role requires understanding Canadian consumer behavior, competitive dynamics and the retail landscape, and deciding whether the Canadian business has the resources it needs for growth.

Base salary falls between 175,000 and 210,000 CAD, with a sales-linked bonus, equity and benefits on top. The role is based in Canada, preferably on Eastern Time, with trips across the country when required and occasional stops at the New York City office. Where someone lives, their background and other job factors shape the final pay.

Responsibilities

  • Become the expert on the Canadian market, including consumer behavior, competitors and retail
  • Lead the Canadian P&L and grow sales through DTC, Amazon.ca and store shelves
  • Identify and execute growth levers to expand market share with local distributors
  • Assess whether the Canadian team is resourced for growth
  • Develop and oversee retail relationships with major Canadian chains, working with the distributor
  • Localize marketing and brand presence for Canadian consumers
  • Develop the demand forecast and coordinate inventory placement with supply chain
  • Align Canadian strategy with US leadership and global strategy

Requirements

  • Five to eight-plus years in online retail, packaged goods or shops, owning real P&L or revenue responsibility
  • Practical work running Amazon Marketplace and direct-to-consumer channels
  • Commercially minded generalist who can run Amazon, DTC and retail without separate owners
  • Willing to be accountable for a revenue target and to map out how to reach it

Qualifications

  • Background at a startup or fast-growing company, where the person builds the playbook
  • MBA (a plus)
  • Bilingual in French (an asset)

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Flexible PTO
  • Equity options
  • Paid parental leave
  • Employee discounts on Nanit products
  • Work-from-home stipend
  • Monthly team events
  • Healthcare, 401(k), disability and basic life coverage as part of total compensation
