Job Description

Meesho's CEO's Office is the team that supports the chief executive in making decisions across the company. The Senior Manager post in Bengaluru is framed as a leadership role instead of a support role. The person is expected to own results and to act without formal authority over the teams they rely on.

Day to day, the post involves collaborating closely with the CEO and CXOs or GMs on strategy, the way the company runs its operating routines, and priorities that cut across teams. The office runs the review meetings, planning rounds and performance tracking that keep management in step, and tackles issues that do not belong to a single function, spanning business, product, technology and operations. The scope moves as priorities move.

Responsibilities include serving as a sounding board for the CEO, preparing sharp briefs and decision tools, speaking for the CEO at leadership forums where that is required, and making sure each decision has a named owner and date. The role also helps assess new business opportunities and adjacent markets and clears obstacles for leaders working on priority items. The posting describes a high-trust group where discretion is essential.

The ideal profile combines careful financial and operational thinking, a clear point of view that survives pushback, and the honesty to name personal mistakes. The posting names structured problem solving, executive communication, a track record on complex business problems, and comfort with senior leaders as the core requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a sounding board for the CEO on the highest-impact priorities
  • Help the CEO move faster with focused briefs, decision tools and analysis
  • Speak for the CEO at leadership forums where that is required
  • Build and update the company's operating routines: reviews, planning rounds and performance tracking
  • Make sure leadership decisions are carried out, with named owners and deadlines
  • Lead strategic projects that span business, product, technology and operations
  • Look into new business opportunities and adjacent areas
  • Work with CXOs and general managers to clear blockers on key priorities
  • Reinforce leadership principles and improve how leaders collaborate

Requirements

  • Methodical problem solving paired with clear, senior-level communication
  • A track record of working through complex, ambiguous business problems
  • Track record of delivering across functions, taking ownership and moving fast
  • At ease in rooms with senior leadership
  • Precise thinker who can review a profit and loss statement in full detail and understand the economics of prior businesses
  • Takes a clear stance and defends it when challenged
  • Curiosity to dig beneath the first answer and learn quickly
  • Humility and accountability, including naming personal errors separately from team work
  • Self-awareness about career decisions, strengths and gaps
  • Gets results through others and builds systems instead of playing the lone hero

Qualifications

  • Experience building or scaling technology products or businesses
  • Operating experience at a start-up or a fast-growing company
  • Work in a founder's office, a CEO's office or a strategy team
  • Close collaboration with product and technology teams
  • Background in marketplaces, e-commerce or platform companies
