In this multifaceted role, the professional will collaborate closely with the Communications Director to drive public relations, media strategy, and thought leadership amplification. Key duties include managing agency relationships, translating impact metrics and borrower stories into compelling pitches, spearheading multi-partner campaigns with strategic and lending allies, and overseeing the organization's LinkedIn presence. The position requires an adaptable communicator who can seamlessly switch between high-level strategy and tactical execution.
This opportunity is well-suited for a dedicated communications practitioner with a strong background in media relations, thought leadership development, and campaign coordination across multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director to advance public relations and thought leadership goals while managing daily relationships with the external PR firm
- Utilize borrower stories, impact statistics, and outcome metrics to support national and top-tier media outreach
- Manage the Muck Rack tool for tracking, reporting, trend monitoring, and localized media list creation
- Maintain a resource library for U.S. hubs, Lending Partners, and Strategic Partners to facilitate localized media coverage
- Design and execute public-facing campaigns with corporate, foundation, and lending partners
- Lead the strategy and day-to-day management of the organization's LinkedIn channel
- Identify and pursue speaking engagements, conference panels, awards, and industry visibility opportunities
- Generate team reports and socialize performance metrics covering PR, media coverage, and campaign results across internal teams
Requirements
- Permanent work authorization for the United States without need for visa sponsorship
- Residency in AZ, CA, CO, DE, GA, IL, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NY, OH, OR, SC, TX, UT, VA, or WA
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in public relations and media relations including direct pitching and securing earned coverage
- Experience designing and implementing thought leadership strategies and executive positioning
- Background in managing multi-partner communications or marketing campaigns across internal and external organizations
- Previous experience working within a public relations agency or managing a PR agency client-side
- Working knowledge of social listening platforms, digital asset management systems, data reporting tools, research repositories, and CRMs
