Job Description

Tubi is seeking a Senior Manager, Publicity to spearhead media initiatives for its expanding catalog of original movies, television series, and creator-focused media. Operating as part of the Tubi Media Group and backed by Fox Corporation, the free streaming platform serves over one hundred million active monthly viewers with a vast library of Hollywood content and original programming.

This hybrid position is situated within the organization's Los Angeles or New York City offices, requiring staff to report on-site two to three days per week. The ideal professional blends traditional entertainment public relations expertise with innovative, unconventional earned media strategies designed to capture internet culture, target specific fandoms, and drive cultural conversations beyond conventional launch cycles.

The role involves extensive cross-functional collaboration alongside Content, Creator, Brand, Integrated Marketing, and International teams, as well as external public relations agencies, talent representatives, and producers. Daily duties range from formulating overarching narrative campaigns and managing high-profile talent relations to counseling corporate leadership during sensitive situations and mentoring junior personnel. Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to protected characteristics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and direct comprehensive publicity campaigns for original films, episodic series, and creator-driven programming from early development through release.
  • Formulate earned media hooks that resonate with audience insights, consumer culture, and internet fandoms.
  • Manage talent relations strategy while acting as a trusted advisor to performers, creators, agents, and producers during routine and high-pressure situations.
  • Represent the organization and support executives and talent at red carpets, film festivals, industry awards ceremonies, and promotional events.
  • Cultivate relationships across entertainment, consumer, and creator economy media sectors.
  • Collaborate with the creator team to treat digital creators as distinct media ecosystems rather than standard talent.
  • Partner with brand, social, and content divisions to align publicity efforts across multiple channels.
  • Identify emerging internet culture, fandom behaviors, and cultural conversations early.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders and executives during fast-moving scenarios.
  • Direct external public relations agencies by establishing clear strategy and high standards for media placement.
  • Draft press releases, messaging documents, briefing materials, and preparation guides for talent and executives.
  • Mentor junior members of the publicity team to elevate strategic and creative performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of professional experience in entertainment communications and public relations, encompassing streaming, television, film, or creator entertainment.
  • Established network of professional contacts spanning the entertainment ecosystem, including media outlets, talent, representatives, and producers.
  • Demonstrated history of building publicity campaigns that generate attention outside standard promotional cycles.
  • Proven capacity to counsel senior leadership and talent under high-pressure or ambiguous conditions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Prior background directing external agencies and providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Willingness to travel into the Los Angeles or New York City office two to three days per week.
