In this field-based role, the professional will build and maintain relationships with key medical thought leaders, clinical centres of excellence, and professional associations across the UK. Responsibilities
- Build and sustain professional relationships with key opinion leaders in academic and community medical settings
- Gather insights regarding existing and emerging science that impacts patient care
- Serve as the main point of contact for healthcare providers interested in collaborative projects
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the local medical affairs plan alongside the Medical Affairs Director
- Deliver clinical presentations and share scientific information at medical congresses and educational events
- Partner with the Clinical Operations team to assist with local clinical development programs and investigator connections
- Monitor local literature, summarize key findings for internal colleagues, and support medical training for the sales team
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional background within the pharmaceutical industry inside medical affairs
- Familiarity with the healthcare delivery infrastructure and patient pathways in the UK
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Capacity to undertake 50 to 60 percent travel, including overnight stays as needed
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a medical or clinical specialty such as an MD, PhD, PharmD, or Master of Science
- Prior scientific expertise working within rare diseases
