Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer for its Grafana IRM team to help build and maintain its mobile application. Grafana Labs is a fully remote global organization that develops a managed observability platform utilized by organizations worldwide for incident response and telemetry. This role sits within the Grafana IRM squad, which provides critical services enabling users to detect, address, and analyze incidents efficiently while maintaining minimal operational toil.
This position is well-suited for a self-directed engineer who enjoys working remotely across multiple regions including the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and Germany. The team operates across frontend, backend, and mobile functionalities, focusing heavily on automation, third-party integrations, and native observability. Engineers in this group take charge of feature lifecycles from concept to production, participate in on-call schedules, and collaborate closely within an open-source culture.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to product roadmaps and guide personal career objectives
- Collaborate with teammates to build, release, and iterate on new features
- Drive projects independently from initial ideas through to customer operations
- Design, construct, operate, and maintain the mobile application while managing performance, availability, and reliability
- Participate in team on-call rotations and manage the software in production
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues through design discussions and teamwork
- Expand technical knowledge by exploring cloud products, customer workflows, and distributed system codebases
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with at least one native mobile platform, such as Android or iOS
- Extensive background in creating production-ready Flutter applications, handling state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and clean code architectures
- Proven ability to independently advance mobile features from concept through release, including CI/CD workflows and deployment to Google Play and the App Store
- Capability to connect mobile applications with cloud services and backend APIs
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and high-performing code
- Strong communication skills and an independent attitude suited for a fully remote work setting
Qualifications
- Previous operational use of Grafana and Prometheus, including past on-call duties or personal projects
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Prior involvement in SRE operations, on-call duties, or infrastructure as code concepts
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
