The Brand Design and Creative team is seeking a Senior Motion Designer to lead the evolution of the brand motion language in London. This hands-on position involves shaping how the brand moves across marketing, campaigns, and owned channels, while ensuring customer benefits are communicated clearly through compelling visual storytelling. Reporting to the Head of Brand Design and Creative, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with other senior designers, copywriters, marketers, and external partners, as well as interact with the product motion team.
Ideal candidates possess extensive portfolio experience in motion design for digital channels, demonstrate core expertise in After Effects, and bring a strong eye for typography, timing, rhythm, and accessibility. Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and performance marketing is also essential for success in this environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the existing motion guidelines across graphic devices, illustrations, typography, and products
- Participate in creative concepting and storyboard development from the earliest project stages
- Produce short-form motion assets for video and paid social channels, adapting messaging and hooks for testing
- Collaborate with the Performance Marketing department to translate live performance insights into subsequent creative iterations
- Design practical asset libraries, components, and templates to assist team members and external partners with consistent delivery
- Translate complex financial products and customer perks into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives
- Generate motion content for launch communications, CRM, web, and social media while adhering to accessibility standards
- Manage and review specialized production partners while maintaining established motion standards
- Incorporate AI-assisted tools into processes for ideation, production, and iteration using sound professional judgement
Requirements
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing deep motion expertise in campaign, brand, and performance work for digital media
- Strong proficiency in After Effects, alongside working knowledge of video-editing workflows, Figma, and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to manage a project from initial concept to final delivery, explaining contributions and implementing design changes
- Practical background in paid-social environments, including short-form video adaptation, testing, and variant creation
- Experience building reusable design systems, asset libraries, or templates for others
- Dedication to craft, encompassing timing, rhythm, typography, sound, finish, and accessibility
- Capacity to lead stakeholders, brief external partners, and present clear reasoning for creative choices
Qualifications
- Prior background working in fintech, financial services, or another complex product sector
- Familiarity with 3D, real-time, or generative design tools
- Hands-on production experience utilizing AI tools with proper quality verification before publication
- Experience working within an in-house studio alongside specialized agencies
