Charger Logistics Inc., an asset-based carrier operating across North America with more than two decades of experience, is seeking a remote Senior Okta Engineer (IAM) for a full-time position focused on non-human and AI agent identity. This hands-on engineering role suits a technical expert who can independently build and operate identity platforms, manage single sign-on, and integrate modern authentication protocols.
The chosen candidate will take complete ownership of the Okta environment, working alongside Microsoft Entra ID while spearheading the integration of AI agents, bots, and service accounts into the primary identity ecosystem. Responsibilities span end-to-end administration, workflow automation, and establishing security standards for machine credentials and workload identities.
Responsibilities
- Administer Okta end to end including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, sign-on policies, Universal Directory, SCIM provisioning, Okta Identity Governance, and Okta Privileged Access
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot application integrations utilizing SAML, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0
- Automate identity lifecycles using Okta Workflows, Okta APIs, and Python or PowerShell
- Maintain integration between Okta and Entra ID within a hybrid setup and connect identity to Google Cloud IAM
- Deploy Okta AI agent capabilities such as Agent SSO, Cross App Access, and agent lifecycle governance
- Establish standards for service accounts and AI agents including unique workload identities, named owners, least-privilege access, and short-lived credentials
- Construct credential vaulting and rotation mechanisms for machine secrets
- Draft developer-facing documentation detailing how teams can request and utilize identities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management
- At least 3 years of deep, hands-on Okta administration experience
- Working knowledge of Entra ID in a hybrid environment
- Comprehension of SAML, OIDC, and OAuth 2.0 inner workings
- Practical experience with SCIM provisioning, identity governance, and privileged access on Okta or comparable platforms
- Proficiency in scripting against identity APIs using Python or PowerShell
Qualifications
- Exposure to AI agent identity technologies such as Okta for AI Agents, Microsoft Entra Agent ID, SPIFFE/SPIRE, or MCP and agent authorization patterns
- Holding an Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, or Consultant credential
- Experience with Okta Workflows or Terraform for Okta
- Background in managing service accounts, API keys, secrets, or workload identities
- Familiarity with Google Cloud IAM or workload identity federation
- Exposure to zero-trust access tools such as Zscaler, Cloudflare, or Tailscale
- Experience working in transportation, logistics, or another 24/7 operations environment
