Garner Health seeks a remote Senior Operations Analyst, Payments to manage the organization's complete payment lifecycle and ensure timely, accurate member disbursements. Reporting directly to the Director of Claims within the Claims department, this position combines hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities, requiring the candidate to guide a small team while directly handling workflow queues during high-volume periods. The selected professional will establish and scale payment operations for upcoming product launches, partner closely with Engineering and Product departments, build performance tracking reports, and resolve complex issues raised by internal stakeholders, clients, and members. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end daily payment operations to guarantee accurate, timely, and well-controlled member disbursements.
- Establish and scale payment procedures for newly introduced products.
- Utilize data analysis, process mapping, automation, and communication to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deploy new payment functionalities.
- Engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders to align on solution designs and workflows.
- Create and maintain reporting systems to track key performance indicators such as timeliness and accuracy.
- Resolve complex payment-related inquiries originating from internal personnel, clients, and members.
- Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison for payment operations across multiple departments.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team while remaining hands-on in daily tasks and queue management during volume spikes.
Requirements
- Possess at least three years of relevant work experience in a strategic problem-solving function, such as analytics, business operations, financial operations, or startup operations.
- Accumulate a minimum of two years of experience building within operational teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in quantitative analysis, data modeling, financial data management, and reconciliations.
- Maintain familiarity with SQL, Google Sheets, Excel, and low-code or no-code artificial intelligence automation tools.
- Show a proven track record of delivering operational initiatives on strict deadlines with high integrity and rigorous attention to detail.
