Vetcove seeks a Senior Operations Manager to drive home delivery operations for its veterinary software and ecommerce platform. In this remote position, the chosen professional will oversee fulfillment vendor performance, direct partner interactions, analyze large operational datasets, and establish robust processes. Vetcove operates a technology platform utilized by more than 25,000 hospitals nationwide, streamlining procurement and practice management for veterinary professionals. Backed by major investors and Y Combinator, the organization focuses on modernizing animal healthcare systems.
The position requires close collaboration with engineering and product teams to translate operational bottlenecks into technical enhancements. Candidates will also manage newly launched initiatives by defining key metrics, building standard operating procedures, and ensuring scalable performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the weekly performance cadence for all fulfillment partners through scorecard evaluations and corrective action plans
- Maintain primary relationships with assigned supply vendors by leading regular business reviews and advocating externally
- Analyze extensive datasets utilizing SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools to diagnose operational bottlenecks
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to turn logistical issues into permanent technical fixes
- Establish standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, and escalation pathways for newly launched initiatives
- Document vendor operations to ensure auditable and consistent scaling
Requirements
- Possess five to eight years of professional background in operations, supply chain, program management, or marketplace and ecommerce operations
- Demonstrate a history of persistent follow-through and meeting delivery timelines independently
- Show proficiency in SQL alongside advanced spreadsheet management skills
- Exhibit close attention to detail when examining complex data sets and service level agreements
- Demonstrate experience handling end-to-end partner or vendor relationships
- Write effectively and communicate clearly across cross-functional engineering and product units
- Maintain high organization and self-direction in a fully remote working environment
Qualifications
- Background working in distribution operations, pharmacy, third-party logistics, or ecommerce fulfillment
- Familiarity with business intelligence applications such as Looker, Hex, or Tableau
- Prior experience building or maintaining operational dashboards
- Previous work history within regulated fulfillment categories, healthcare, or animal health
