The organization seeks a Senior Paralegal to integrate into its internal legal department. This fully remote position handles a broad spectrum of corporate legal needs, ranging from contract management and risk mitigation to litigation support, licensing, and insurance. The professional will serve cross-functional departments such as sales, accounting, procurement, construction operations, product development, and finance.
Suitable candidates are seasoned, detail-oriented legal professionals who thrive in rapid environments and enjoy balancing diverse responsibilities. The role requires independent work capacity, robust organizational methods, and clear communication with non-legal partners. Daily tasks span contract review, builder insurance administration, warranty claim tracking, pre-litigation file management, and regulatory compliance across multiple geographical markets.
Responsibilities
- Review and track changes to master service agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
- Examine title and deed documentation related to land acquisitions and property transactions
- Track and maintain business and general contractor licenses across operational markets
- Administer the Builders Risk insurance program alongside insurance brokers and internal teams
- Evaluate subcontractor insurance policies and advise business units on risk management
- Monitor new and existing warranty claims and coordinate with the warranty department on strategy
- Partner with sales personnel on contract adjustments and homeowner negotiations
- Handle and resolve customer disputes as they arise
- Manage pre-litigation and litigation files, supporting discovery and case strategy with outside counsel
- Support suburban land acquisition deals and post-closing obligations with the land acquisition team
Requirements
- Possess ten to fifteen years of paralegal experience
- Demonstrated background in contract negotiation and drafting, insurance and risk management, warranty claims, and litigation or case management
- Hold a bachelor degree or a paralegal certificate
Qualifications
- Prior in-house paralegal experience
- Background working in construction, real estate, or homebuilding sectors
