Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend services that transfer data from warehouse queries to downstream systems
- Enhance how services manage incoming events, run queries, transform results, and coordinate delivery
- Design, build, and maintain APIs and integrations for major cloud data warehouses
- Participate in an on-call rotation to address production incidents and improve system reliability
- Create shared components, tools, automation, and documentation to minimize repetitive tasks
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools daily and help build machine learning and agentic products
- Mentor team members, perform code reviews, and share technical context
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of production coding experience with a strong foundation in Python
- Experience building and scaling services in a startup or high-growth setting
- End-to-end ownership experience with distributed architectures and backend-heavy systems
- Familiarity working with AWS or GCP while building for security, reliability, and observability at scale
