CirrusNorth is seeking experienced professionals for remote Senior or Principal DevOps Engineer contractor positions. This role involves working with small, medium, and enterprise clients, frequently as a member of a project team. Internal collaboration takes place using tools such as Slack, Gmail, and Google Meet.
Contract opportunities include full-time engagements ranging from thirty to forty hours per week, such as two to six month DevOps project delivery or six-plus month DevOps staff augmentation. Part-time engagements involving one to two days or ten to twenty hours per week are also available, including DevOps fractional retainers and DevOps solution consulting.
Please note that these positions operate on a 1099 contractor basis, meaning individuals handle their own taxes and benefits. Consideration is limited to United States-based staff, and visa sponsorship is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Engage in DevOps project delivery lasting between two and six months
- Provide DevOps staff augmentation for engagements lasting six months or longer
- Participate in DevOps fractional retainers of ten to twenty hours per week
- Deliver DevOps solution consulting on a part-time basis
- Collaborate internally using Slack, Gmail, and Google Meet
- Work alongside client project teams
Requirements
- Bring three or more years of experience in core cloud and DevOps skill areas
- Possess five or more years of overall experience
- Demonstrate strong communication and project management abilities
- Reside in the United States
- Hold authorization to work in the United States in a 1099 contractor position
- Undergo additional screenings
Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Knowledge of Python, Golang, or other common scripting languages
