Spotted Zebra is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its remote team in the UK on a full-time basis. The company builds an AI-native hiring platform that combines interview intelligence, skills assessments, and AI interview agents to streamline the recruitment process for major global enterprises.
In this position, you will drive the design of complex, web-based SaaS features from initial exploration to launch while maintaining high interaction and visual standards. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to solve difficult problems under conditions of ambiguity. Additionally, you will empower colleagues by coaching them, utilizing AI tooling, and maintaining the SZ Design System to support independent delivery across multiple crews.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in shipping intricate enterprise or SaaS products, utilizes AI-driven prototyping workflows, and excels at balancing user value, technical feasibility, and business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex design challenges, guiding important features from early exploration through to shipped experiences with strong visual and interaction execution
- Enable product managers and engineers to independently handle simpler tasks by providing coaching, clear principles, AI tooling, and the SZ Design System
- Conduct continuous user research through conversations, lightweight testing, and product data analysis to inform design choices
- Make pragmatic trade-offs balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals
- Integrate AI tools into workflows for research, implementation, and prototyping to accelerate delivery
- Maintain product coherence across different crews by spotting inconsistencies early and evolving shared design system patterns
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and occupational psychology teams to challenge assumptions and design transparent AI experiences
- Partner with engineers during implementation and review product data and feedback after launch to improve usability
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping complex, web-based SaaS products at a rapid pace, including managing uncertainty and post-launch updates
- High level of UX and visual craft for intuitive and accessible user interfaces
- Strong product judgment gained in startup or scale-up settings, utilizing qualitative feedback and product data for decision-making
- Proven history of working closely with engineering and product management to ship quality work
- Practical experience applying AI coding or prototyping tools like Claude Code, Claude Design, or Lovable while feeding design-system guidance into their context
- Track record of enabling others to deliver effective design independently through reusable components and coaching
- Comfort working autonomously in ambiguous environments with complex enterprise and skills science requirements
Qualifications
- Background in designing AI-powered products, specifically agents or assistants for complex tasks
- Advanced Figma skills and practical usage of design systems for consistent product scaling
- Prior experience working in HR tech, recruitment, or enterprise software dealing with trust and governance considerations
