In this position, the individual will report directly to the company president and direct product strategy for CRM tools, email campaigns, automated messaging, transactional communications, and emerging channels like SMS.
This role suits an experienced product leader with a strong background in customer communication platforms who wants to shape multi-year product visions and drive business revenue. The chosen candidate will guide roadmap planning, manage commercial and marketing partnerships, and help differentiate Squarespace within the service commerce industry. Responsibilities involve mentoring product managers, collaborating with engineering and design departments, and leveraging platform data and artificial intelligence to enhance automated workflows.
The position offers an annual base salary range between $323,000 and $435,000 USD, along with eligibility for stock option grants. Candidates may choose to work on-site at the New York City headquarters or remotely from locations within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the multi-year product strategy for the Client Engagement Group spanning CRM, email campaigns, automations, transactional communications, and SMS channels
- Manage the Email Campaigns business line end-to-end by tracking revenue performance, shaping go-to-market strategies, and driving roadmap decisions
- Prioritize platform investments in business CRM, transactional automations, and advanced segmentation features
- Lead, mentor, and expand a team of product managers across various product lines using hypothesis-driven development
- Collaborate with engineering and design heads to execute high-priority initiatives and maintain team velocity
- Partner across Commerce, Growth, Financial Solutions, and go-to-market teams to integrate customer engagement products into the broader platform
- Utilize company data and AI to build smarter automation flows and personalized outreach experiences
- Contribute to the establishment of standards and practices for senior product leadership at Squarespace
Requirements
- Have at least 12 years of product management experience, including significant time building and scaling communications, CRM, marketing, or customer engagement products
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing product manager teams within complex multi-product environments
- Demonstrate familiarity with the email service provider and customer engagement landscape
- Show a proven ability to manage a revenue-generating product line with full accountability for business results
