Job Description
Apaleo is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead a single product crew with complete independence over discovery, prioritization, strategy, and execution. The company builds an open, API-first property management platform designed for the hospitality industry, streamlining operations and improving guest experiences through a wide network of integrated applications. In this senior individual contributor role, you will take charge of core hotel workflows such as reservations, front desk functions, guest profiles, financial accounting, and reporting.
This position requires you to shape product roadmaps using data, customer research, and sound logic rather than following a pre-written plan. You will collaborate closely with engineering and design teams while ensuring that technical decisions respect the API-first architecture. The role also involves utilizing artificial intelligence within daily product management tasks and supporting AI-driven engineering practices. Apaleo values autonomy, transparency, and trust, providing an environment where professionals can make meaningful decisions and directly influence the future of hospitality technology.

- Collaborate with engineering on technical trade-offs, system reliability, and API-first architecture
- Balance roadmap goals with bug fixes, technical debt, and operational demands
- Define success metrics and evaluate product data to determine future steps
- Communicate project progress and risks to engineering, product peers, and customer-facing teams
- Integrate customer feedback and evidence into broader product planning
- Identify and resolve dependencies with neighboring product crews early
- Leverage artificial intelligence in product management tasks and support AI-assisted engineering
Requirements

- Technical aptitude to discuss API architecture and collaborate effectively with engineers
- Experience organizing focused roadmaps, managing backlogs, and balancing competing priorities
- Familiarity with platform thinking, including scalable capabilities and API consistency

- High level of autonomy, adaptability, and risk management capability
