Job Description

Huntress seeks a Senior Product Manager to spearhead a new initiative centered on security tooling for internal operations. Established in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, the company provides enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions to small and mid-market organizations through a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center. Operating in a remote environment, the organization protects millions of endpoints and identities worldwide by building proprietary technology backed by expert analysts.

In this role, the successful candidate will direct the strategy for internal analyst user experiences, rapid response utilities, and platform infrastructure. Responsibilities include defining workflows, managing investigation models, and establishing systems that boost operator efficiency and throughput rather than traditional revenue metrics. The position involves collaborating closely with security engineers, designers, and SOC leadership to transform manual procedures into automated, standardized processes.

This opportunity is well-suited for a professional with direct background in security operations, platform interfaces, and operator tooling who excels at translating complex technical requirements into actionable product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the vision and business value for internal security operations tooling
  • Manage the product roadmap covering analyst user experience, response utilities, and platform capabilities
  • Oversee the shared investigation and evidence model to provide a foundation for adjacent product teams
  • Partner with security teams to convert manual procedures into automated internal workflows
  • Incorporate operator-built enhancements from the Portal Enhancement Kit into the native platform
  • Translate ambiguous operator requirements into innovative software solutions
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to write epics, user stories, and detailed functional requirements
  • Participate across all product lifecycle stages from initial discovery through public launch
  • Maintain a capacity allocation dedicated to technical debt and system resiliency
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly between engineering teams and non-technical management
  • Partner with design and engineering to develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
  • Track and report operational efficiency metrics including time-to-close and throughput per analyst

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of product management experience including responsibility for cybersecurity products
  • Direct operational background working within a security operations center and creating related tools
  • Proven track record of designing internal or operator-facing systems intended for skilled professionals
  • Working familiarity with incident response lifecycles, analyst workflows, and threat investigations
  • Experience managing shared platform interfaces or services consumed by separate product groups
  • Demonstrated ability to build products leveraging artificial intelligence technologies such as Claude
  • Comfort defining investment cases and success metrics measured by operational throughput rather than revenue
  • Background working in agile software development environments

Qualifications

  • Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer, security engineer, incident responder, or security analyst
  • Strong interface design and user experience skills
  • Familiarity with managed detection and response or security orchestration, automation, and response products
  • Experience operating within mid-market sectors as well as managed service provider or managed security service provider environments

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Paid time off covering vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Twelve weeks of paid parental leave
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans spanning medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with a five percent employer contribution regardless of employee deferrals
  • Life and disability insurance policies
  • Stock options for all permanent full-time personnel
  • One-time reimbursement of five hundred dollars for home office setup
  • Annual allowance dedicated to professional development and education
  • Monthly digital stipend of seventy-five dollars
  • Access to BetterUp for personal and professional coaching
