Job Description
This on-site, full-time role in the United States leads Elastic's offering for government customers. Working within the Platform team, which maintains Elastic Cloud's backend and orchestration products, the Senior Product Manager is accountable for regulated deployments that allow government agencies to use Elastic, spanning FedRAMP Moderate, FedRAMP High and Impact Level 5 (IL5).
The role sets direction for the public sector business and converts compliance obligations into product requirements that Engineering can schedule. Authorizations must stay valid as the product evolves, so the person joins Security, Compliance and Legal colleagues in keeping them current. Input from agency customers is weighed alongside market and usage evidence, and regulatory developments are translated into concrete team plans.
Go-to-market coordination with Sales and Marketing covers messaging, competitive positioning, sales enablement and federal channel partners such as resellers. Because the work happens inside FedRAMP boundaries, candidates have to qualify as U.S. persons, and certain duties may be restricted to U.S. citizens working on American soil. The role is performed independently within a geographically spread team, and the holder uses AI tools to work faster while remaining responsible for results.
Responsibilities
- Set direction and sequencing for the public sector product, from FedRAMP Moderate and High up to IL5 and what follows

- Coordinate go-to-market, messaging, competitive work and enablement with Sales and Marketing, including federal partners and resellers
Requirements
- Five or more years of product management on technically deep products
- Experience building and running DoD Impact Level 4 or higher cloud environments, or eligibility to do so

- U.S. person status (citizen, national, green card holder, asylee or refugee) for FedRAMP Moderate or High work
- Grasp of cloud platforms and developer-oriented products
- Background serving government agencies, systems integrators or federal resellers
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Elastic's product suite or typical workloads such as log analytics, metrics, APM tracing or geospatial mapping (GIS)
- Knowledge of government cloud regions such as GovCloud or Azure Government, plus disconnected deployments
- Understanding of public procurement and ATO (Authority to Operate) approvals
- Daily use of AI tools, and background with open-source or commercial open-source businesses
