Job Description
Monzo, a UK bank offering current accounts, savings, borrowing and investment products, is hiring several senior product marketers who will take full ownership of marketing for key products in Core Banking, Borrowing and Wealth. The posting mentions the UK, Ireland and Spain, plus markets still to come. The role is based in London and pays £70,000 to £105,000 plus benefits, with two seniority levels available depending on what suits the candidate best.
Monzo treats product marketing as a discipline that secures product-market fit rather than a go-to-market function. Product marketers are embedded in squads with product managers, designers and user researchers, and they speak for the market. Integrated Marketing then leads campaign and channel strategy, creative direction and the wider go-to-market approach. The holder of this senior individual contributor role owns a product from end to end, covering customer understanding, product strategy, positioning and launches.
Core covers current and joint accounts, pots, subscriptions and savings challenges. Borrowing covers Flex, loans, credit insight tools, mortgages and overdrafts, and includes taking the Flex proposition to customers across Europe. Wealth covers savings, investments, pensions, insurance and new wealth-building experiences. Day-to-day work involves setting a two to four quarter strategy, studying customers, competitors and categories, shaping product bets, designing launches and measuring outcomes with commercial data.
The posting looks for people who take responsibility for an entire product experience, solve unclear problems with evidence, and influence colleagues through collaboration rather than authority. Applicants should also be willing to help others improve their work and to coach junior colleagues on the side. The hiring process has an initial call of 30 minutes, a 45-minute case study presentation and two 45-minute final interviews on Google Meet, usually taking three to four weeks.
