Job Description
Axonius seeks a Senior Product Security Architect to join its technical Product Security group and help protect the company platform alongside modern artificial intelligence features. Axonius operates as a cybersecurity startup providing the Axonius Asset Cloud, which integrates data from organizational IT infrastructure to manage risk, configuration, and expenditure across software, SaaS, identities, and devices. In this position, candidates will work collaboratively with research and development groups located in Israel and Portugal. The role suits professionals experienced in secure software engineering who thrive in a hybrid work environment involving deep research and development partnership. The successful applicant will take charge of the security strategy across the software development lifecycle to guarantee that distributed systems and cloud architectures are engineered securely.
Responsibilities
- Partner with research and development teams to establish, prioritize, and implement security requirements and mitigation plans throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform security reviews focusing on architecture, design, and threat modeling for web platforms, cloud environments, and distributed systems.
- Draft clear security architecture documents, design specifications, and technical guidelines for engineering personnel.
- Direct incident response activities during active product security incidents and coordinate cross-functional remediation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical software development experience with a minimum of 3 years focused specifically on application security or product security.
- Professional background in analyzing, reading, and evaluating codebase architecture within product-focused technology stacks.
- Direct practical experience operating inside AWS cloud environments and constructing application threat models.
- Active usage of AI and LLM-based tools such as Claude or Augment to streamline research, workflows, and productivity.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English communication.
Qualifications
- Practical security architecture background in embedding and securing AI and LLM technologies within commercial B2B products.
- Professional experience creating security frameworks for modern cloud and SaaS stacks as well as legacy hardware and medical device environments.
- Industry-recognized credentials including CISSP, OSCP, or CCSP.
- Documented history of published security research, CVE submissions, bug bounty involvement, or speaking engagements at security conferences.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
