Job Description

Waabi is an enterprise developing automated transportation systems spanning commercial self-driving trucks and robotaxis. The organization maintains physical locations in Dallas, Toronto, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh while offering remote work opportunities for this position.

As a Senior Program Manager specializing in trucking, the professional serves as the central integration coordinator connecting vehicle manufacturing supply, client agreements, site activations, network expansion, and self-driving software readiness. This role bridges autonomous technology capabilities with real-world deployment logistics, ensuring cross-functional execution from commercial pilots to large-scale operations.

The position is well-suited for an experienced individual with a background in complex hardware-software systems who thrives on establishing clear structures, tracking intricate dependencies, and facilitating transparent executive communication without direct managerial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the master commercialization schedule connecting customer agreements, vehicle supply, autonomy readiness, site activations, and account management launches.
  • Monitor critical paths, project slips, and potential risks, surfacing issues early to appropriate decision-makers.
  • Lead multi-department company milestones and coordinate weekly cross-functional truck program meetings.
  • Develop repeatable operational frameworks, procedures, and decision-making structures to facilitate rapid scaling.
  • Generate executive-ready documentation and progress updates for technical and business audiences.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in product or program leadership within complex operational and technical sectors such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, defense, logistics, or automotive.
  • Demonstrated history of coordinating programs across independent teams involving hardware, software, safety, and operational components.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to evaluate software or hardware milestone delays and assess the credibility of recovery strategies.
  • Ability to clearly separate facts, assumptions, and risks when communicating with senior leadership.
  • Capacity to establish lightweight, effective structures and adjust them as organizational needs evolve.
  • Executive-level verbal and written communication abilities focused on problem framing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Direct background in autonomous freight, trucking, or the commercialization of self-driving vehicles.
  • Hands-on practice collaborating alongside commercial and operational teams.
  • Experience managing a weekly holistic program review cadence.
  • Prior involvement in transitioning a physical product from pilot stages to full commercial launch under strict readiness gates.
  • Familiarity working jointly with safety or systems engineering teams on go and no-go deployment choices.
  • Knowledge of supplier or original equipment manufacturer delivery timelines as dependencies within commercial plans.
  • Zero-to-one program deployment experience inside an early-stage or rapidly scaling enterprise.

Core Skills

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation packages including equity incentive awards and annual performance bonuses.
  • Health and wellness coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision plans for full-time personnel.
  • Unlimited vacation policy.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work support.
  • Daily snacks, drinks, and catered meals when working from an office location.
  • Regularly scheduled virtual, on-site, and off-site team building and social activities.
