Job Description
Dianthus Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Purchasing and Accounts Payable Associate to join its Finance team on a remote basis. Dianthus Therapeutics develops therapies for severe autoimmune diseases, with clinical candidates such as claseprubart, DNTH212, and DNTH312. This position reports to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.
The person in this role will take charge of the purchase order process using NetSuite, keep purchasing records accurate, track open commitments, and assist with accounts payable and the financial close process. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on accounts payable and purchasing background, work well independently, and help enhance internal controls and procedures as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Manage the creation, processing, and maintenance of purchase orders in NetSuite to ensure correct vendor data, coding, financial classification, and documentation
- Examine purchase order requests for completeness and adherence to company policies
- Handle adjustments, amendments, and closures for purchase orders
- Perform monthly evaluations of open purchase orders to spot aged balances, inactive commitments, and finished services
- Collaborate with department heads to verify open commitments and settle discrepancies between purchase orders, contracts, and invoices
- Participate in accounts payable functions including invoice review, coding, purchase order matching, vendor setup, and payment preparation
- Help with monthly and quarterly closing tasks by locating unpaid invoices, vendor accruals, and potential unrecorded liabilities
- Keep precise records of purchasing and accounts payable to support internal controls and financial reporting
- Spot areas to enhance finance procedures as business complexity grows
- Assist with other accounting duties and special projects as necessary
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in independently handling accounts payable and purchasing functions within a high-volume, dynamic setting
- Experience working with purchase orders, vendor files, invoice processing, and financial paperwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and operate independently
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow-through
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor or associate degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an adjacent discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Familiarity with NetSuite is strongly preferred
