Airtm is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their fully remote team. Airtm operates as a financial-infrastructure enterprise dedicated to supporting the online-work economy by providing digital entrepreneurs in the Global South with access to the dollar economy, low-value cross-border payments, and stablecoin-payment infrastructure. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure software reliability and product standards for modern web applications and backend services.
This position involves collaborating closely with engineering and product groups, building automated testing frameworks, and pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence and large language model tools into the testing lifecycle. Ideal candidates bring significant quality assurance background in testing web applications and backend services, coupled with familiarity in AI agent frameworks.
Applicants for this fully remote position must reside in North, Central, or South America. The role reports directly to the Tech Lead.
Responsibilities
- Review product specifications to establish testable acceptance criteria alongside product managers and developers
- Create, execute, and maintain automated end-to-end, regression, and integration tests
- Conduct manual testing on complex features prior to full automation coverage
- Incorporate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Document bugs, provide feedback, and track test coverage and performance metrics
- Implement AI-assisted testing procedures for tasks including log analysis, test data synthesis, and test case generation
- Integrate LLM-driven testing and coding utilities into team workflows to identify edge cases
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience as a Senior QA Engineer or in a comparable testing capacity for web applications and backend services
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress
- Comprehension of REST and GraphQL APIs and backend service failure modes
- Ability to review frontend and backend source code for debugging and test development
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Git version control systems
- Practical background using AI agent frameworks like CrewAI, LlamaIndex, or LangChain
- Advanced command of the English language
- Reside in North, Central, or South America
