This role suits an experienced technical contributor who possesses a strong background in security or software engineering and is comfortable working extensively with AI-driven workflows. Day-to-day work spans application, product, infrastructure, enterprise security, and incident response. Candidates will design risk-reduction solutions, conduct threat modeling, participate in on-call rotations, and help guide technical priorities while partnering with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement security solutions across product, infrastructure, internal applications, enterprise systems, and observability domains
- Perform threat modeling for new product initiatives and existing systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into software delivery workflows
- Develop, tune, and automate security monitoring, alerts, detections, and response procedures utilizing AI and automation
- Take part in incident response duties and share responsibilities in the on-call rotation
- Assist with regulatory and governance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI
- Mentor fellow engineers and propagate security best practices across the company
Requirements
- At least five years of professional background in security engineering, software engineering, or an adjacent technical field with dedicated security experience
- Demonstrated technical depth in at least one primary security domain and the capability to operate across associated areas
- Advanced, practical experience leveraging AI tools, automation, and agents to amplify security engineering output
- Background working within cloud computing environments, with a preference for AWS
- Hands-on practice managing incident response and participating in on-call schedules
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for process management and collaboration
- Strong technical judgment, clear ownership, and effective communication skills
Qualifications
- Prior background in cryptocurrency, fintech, or other regulated business sectors
- Exposure to product security principles and influencing product design
- Familiarity with AI-assisted security testing, vulnerability research, offensive security, detection engineering, or security observability
- Familiarity with Bitcoin and an interest in learning more about it
