Ivanti is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its growing Site Reliability Engineering team. In this remote position, the engineer will help manage, deploy, and secure cloud services across AWS and Azure platforms, collaborating with product engineering, security, and support departments. The role focuses on advancing the existing platform through automation, observability, and release automation.
This is a hands-on technical position operating on a fixed schedule of four 10-hour days from Tuesday night to Saturday morning, spanning approximately 10 PM to 9 AM U.S. Pacific Time. The role requires U.S. citizenship and domestic U.S. residency. Responsibilities include handling incident response, issue triage, and problem resolution as part of an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software, automation, and infrastructure administration.
Responsibilities
- Work four 10-hour days from Tuesday night to Saturday morning
- Deploy, manage, and secure production SaaS environments in AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams across departments
- Automate repetitive tasks and write documentation and training materials
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for incident response and problem resolution
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and domestic U.S. location
- Proficiency with Python and at least one of Java, Golang, or C#
- Proficiency in Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
- Experience troubleshooting Java and .NET applications
- Experience addressing network and storage infrastructure issues
- Experience working with core Linux distributions and Windows
- Experience with databases and data stores such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch
- Ability to configure and fine-tune proxies and web servers like HA Proxy, Apache, Nginx, or IIS
- Ability to configure monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, or Splunk
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like AWS EKS or Azure AKS
- Experience with deployment pipeline tools including Ansible, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in developing Infrastructure as Code
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience, or 2 years with a relevant bachelor's degree
- Prior professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer
- Certifications in cloud development, Kubernetes administration, Linux administration, or software engineering disciplines
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type 2, ISO-27001, FedRAMP, or IRAP and privacy regulations like GDPR and PIPEDA
